Unemployment benefit calculator (paro)

Estimate how much unemployment benefit you would receive and for how many months, based on your contribution base and the days you have contributed. It is a gross estimate: the SEPE then withholds Social Security and income tax.

Your gross salary for the whole year. Used as the average contribution base (gross divided by 12).
Days contributed for unemployment in the last 6 years. At least 360 are required to qualify.
Affects the minimum and maximum caps of the benefit.

How it is calculated

The benefit depends on your contributions: the days contributed set the duration and your contribution base sets the amount.

  • Duration: 360 to 539 days contributed give 120 days of benefit, and every extra 180 days adds 60 days of benefit, up to a maximum of 720 days (two years) from 2160 days contributed.
  • Amount: 70% of the regulatory base for the first 180 days and 60% from day 181. The regulatory base is the average of the contribution bases over the last 180 days.
  • Caps: the monthly amount cannot fall below 80% of the IPREM increased by one sixth (107% with dependent children) nor exceed 175%, 200% or 225% for 0, 1 or 2 or more children.
