Changes and improvements

Every time we fix a calculation, extend coverage to a new territory, or verify an official figure, it is logged here with a date. This is the living counterpart to the methodology page: not how the calculation works, but what has improved and when.

Current data status

  • 17 communities and territories covered
  • Tax year 2026
  • Last verified: 2026-07-04
  1. 2026-07-23New coverage

We published a public JSON API (/api/v1) for net salary, severance and unemployment, computed by the same engine as the site. It is free, needs no sign-up, and returns the engine's numbers so any person, tool or search engine can cite them.

  2. 2026-07-23New coverage

We removed every email sign-up form from the site. We no longer ask for or store any email address: reclute collects no personal data (no accounts, no cookies, no forms). We updated the privacy policy and legal notice to match; since we process no personal data, we also publish no name or postal address, only a contact email.

  3. 2026-07-23New coverage

New page: a tax and payroll glossary. The terms that appear on your payslip, in your income-tax return and in your contract (IRPF, withholding, contribution base, finiquito, SMI, IPREM and more) explained in plain language and with their legal reference, with a search box and a category filter. Each term links to the tool it belongs with.

  4. 2026-07-22New coverage

The home page now has a question box: write what you need to know in one sentence ("how much do I take home on 35,000 in Catalonia?") and we open the tool that answers it, with your details already filled into the form and, when the question carries enough information, with the figure already worked out. An AI model only decides which tool applies and reads the values you mention; every euro is computed by the same engine the calculators use, so the answer and the page always agree. If we cannot interpret the question, we show the list of tools instead of inventing an answer.

  5. 2026-07-18New coverage

New tool: the dismissal-letter and settlement reviewer. Paste the text of your dismissal letter or settlement (or fill in the details by hand) and we compare what you are offered against what the law would entitle you to, with a clear flag when the amount falls short. The calculation is done by the same severance and settlement engines the calculators already use; if you paste the document, an AI model only reads the case type, the dates, the salary and the offered amount from it, and never computes any figure. It is informational, not legal advice.

  6. 2026-07-16New coverage

Mexico now has its own salary comparator at /es-mx/: compare two salaries side by side, with the ISR and IMSS for each, and see which leaves you more net pay per year. Unlike the Spanish comparator it does not compare states: ISR is federal, so withholding does not change with where you live.

  7. 2026-07-16New coverage

Mexico now has its own aguinaldo (Christmas bonus) calculator at /es-mx/: the aguinaldo you are owed this year, with the legal minimum of 15 days of salary (art. 87 of the Ley Federal del Trabajo) prorated by the days worked, and a warning if the days you enter fall below the minimum. It uses the same proration as Mexico's finiquito calculator.

  8. 2026-07-15New coverage

The payslip checker now lets you paste your payslip text: we read the gross pay, the withholding %, and the Social Security deduction and fill in the fields for you to review. The reader only extracts the figures already printed on your payslip; the calculation is still done by our withholding engine, not the AI, and we do not store the text you paste.

  9. 2026-07-14New coverage

New tool: cost of hiring. Enter the annual gross salary and we break down how much extra the employer pays, concept by concept (common contingencies, unemployment, vocational training, MEI, FOGASA and work accidents), something the net-salary calculator computes but never showed broken down.

  10. 2026-07-14New coverage

New tool: payslip checker. Enter the gross pay, IRPF withholding percentage and Social Security deduction printed on your payslip, and we compare them line by line against our withholding engine, flagging any difference beyond a reasonable rounding margin.

  11. 2026-07-11Data verification

We verified the two regional rent deductions we already model (Madrid and Canarias) for 2026: they had no row for that year once the calculator switched to showing 2026 by default, so they had silently stopped applying. Both are confirmed unchanged from 2025 against the consolidated text of their own law (Decreto Legislativo 1/2010 art. 8 for Madrid, Decreto-Legislativo 1/2009 art. 15 for Canarias): 30% capped at 1,237.20 euros for Madrid, 24% capped at 740 euros for Canarias.

  12. 2026-07-11Data verification

We completed País Vasco's 2026 foral cuota: until now only Bizkaia's 2026 scale was verified, and the page fell back to a common-regime estimate for the rest of the calculation. It now also applies the real bonificación del trabajo, minoración de cuota (1,583 -> 1,615 euros) and deducción por descendientes (668/827/1,393/1,647 -> 682/844/1,421/1,680 euros, plus the under-6 supplement rising from 386 to 394 euros), verified against Norma Foral 7/2025. The bonificación del trabajo is unchanged for 2026: the law only updates the cuota deductions.

  13. 2026-07-11New coverage

New salary percentile tool: enter your annual gross salary and sex, and we work out what share of workers of your same sex earn less than you, by interpolating between the percentiles (10th, 25th, 50th, 75th and 90th) INE publishes in its Annual Structure of Earnings Survey. INE doesn't publish this distribution combined for both sexes or broken down by region, so the tool always compares against one sex's distribution, and below the 10th percentile or above the 90th it shows a qualitative message ("bottom/top 10%") instead of a made-up figure.

  14. 2026-07-10New coverage

New net-to-gross salary calculator: enter the net pay you want per payment and it works out the gross salary you need to ask for, using the same Social Security and income-tax withholding engine as the net-salary calculator, so the result always agrees with it. To the cent: a gross of 37,449.96 euros a year reproduces, through the net-salary calculator, exactly the net you entered.

  15. 2026-07-10Calculation fix

The self-employed (RETA) contribution calculator now also estimates annual income tax: from your annual net income, it applies the reduction for hard-to-justify expenses (5%, capped at 2,000 euros), reuses the same personal and family minimum and the same general IRPF scale as the net salary calculator, and compares the result against what your invoices already had withheld (15%, or 7% if newly self-employed) to estimate whether you are due a refund or owe more. Verified against the Reglamento del IRPF (Real Decreto 439/2007), arts. 30 and 95, and Ley 35/2006 (IRPF), art. 30.2.4ª.

  16. 2026-07-10New coverage

New self-employed (RETA) contribution calculator: from your estimated monthly net income, it works out your bracket and the minimum and maximum fee at that bracket's contribution base, or the flat-rate quota for a new autónomo. Verified against Orden PJC/297/2026, of 30 March (arts. 18 and 37): the total rate is 31.50% (common and professional contingencies, cessation of activity, vocational training and the intergenerational equity mechanism). This is the first coverage of an audience the site had none for; the income-tax estimate for autónomos is a follow-up.

  17. 2026-07-08New coverage

A region's page that isn't yet verified for the current year (today, the Valencian Community and Extremadura for 2026) no longer 404s: it explains we're verifying its data and links to the changelog and the by-region comparison.

  18. 2026-07-08Data verification

The calculator, the home page and the by-region comparison now compute on the verified 2026 figures instead of 2025 (state withholding, regional and foral scales, Social Security contributions). With 17 of 19 territories now verified for 2026, keeping the default year on 2025 no longer made sense. The Valencian Community and Extremadura, whose rate cuts are still moving through parliament, temporarily drop out of the by-region comparison until their 2026 law is published; their 2025 figures stay reachable from their own page. The only real change to the national figures is Social Security contributions (base cap and MEI, already reflected in the net salary you'll see).

  19. 2026-07-08Data verification

We extended the 2026 regional IRPF scale to 17 of 19 territories (eleven more comunidades, plus País Vasco, Navarra, Ceuta and Melilla). Eleven comunidades are confirmed unchanged from 2025, verified against the consolidated BOE text of each regional law. Bizkaia does change: its foral tariff is deflated a further 2% for 2026 (Norma Foral 7/2025). Navarra keeps its scale but changes two cuota deductions (deducción por trabajo and deducción personal, Ley Foral 17/2025), now more generous for low and middle incomes. Ceuta and Melilla follow the state scale, also unchanged. Extremadura is still pending, like the Valencian Community: its 2026 rate cut awaits a final Assembly vote scheduled for 29-30 July.

  20. 2026-07-08Data verification

We verified the 2026 regional IRPF scales for Madrid and Catalonia against the consolidated BOE texts: both stay unchanged from 2025. The Valencian Community is deliberately pending: its parliament is passing a rate cut retroactive to January 2026, and we will publish its scale once the law appears in the DOGV.

  21. 2026-07-05New coverage

Fixed navigation on /es-mx/: the country selector had no link back to Spain, and this very changelog feed was missing from the Mexican footer. We also filtered this feed's entries by country, so Mexico no longer sees updates that only affect Spain's regional or foral tax scales.

  22. 2026-07-04New coverage

Mexico now has its own minimum-wage tool at /es-mx/: the current general and Northern Border Free Zone minimum wage, with source and verification date, plus a checker for whether your salary meets it.

  23. 2026-07-04New coverage

Mexico now has its own dismissal-severance calculator at /es-mx/: the full indemnity (3 months, 20 days per year of service and prima de antigüedad) on an unjustified dismissal, or only the prima de antigüedad on a justified one, with its own engine verified against the Ley Federal del Trabajo.

  24. 2026-07-04New coverage

Mexico now has its own finiquito calculator at /es-mx/: proportional vacation by tenure, prima vacacional, proportional aguinaldo and, from 15 years of service, prima de antigüedad, with its own engine verified against the Ley Federal del Trabajo.

  25. 2026-07-04Data verification

We verified the national IRPF and Social Security figures for 2026 against the Agencia Tributaria and Orden PJC/297/2026: almost everything stays the same as 2025 since Spain has no 2026 General State Budget, except the contribution base cap (now 5,101.20 EUR/month) and the MEI rate (now 0.9%); the calculator will keep using 2025 until we also verify the 2026 regional and foral scales.

  26. 2026-07-03New coverage

New tool: IRPF by Catalan comarca, with the taxable base and tax due per filer in 36 of the 43 comarques (Idescat data based on Spain's Tax Agency), compared against the Catalunya average. Bages, Osona, Segarra, Solsonès, Vallès Oriental, Moianès and Lluçanès don't have this series published yet.

  27. 2026-07-03New coverage

New tool: average salary by Comunidad Autónoma, from official INE data (2024 Annual Structure of Earnings Survey), broken down by occupational-qualification tier and compared against the national average.

  28. 2026-07-03New coverage

Mexico now has its own homepage at /es-mx/: the same live gross-salary split (net, ISR, IMSS), with the still-missing Mexican tools marked as coming soon. Along the way, every peso figure now shows "MXN" instead of an ambiguous "$" symbol, and every salary field (in Mexico and in Spain) carries its currency visibly next to the number.

  29. 2026-07-03New coverage

Mexico now has its own net-salary calculator at /es-mx/: federal ISR, the subsidio para el empleo credit, IMSS and INFONAVIT contributions, with its own engine and data verified against official sources (DOF, SAT, IMSS, CONASAMI).

  30. 2026-07-02Data verification

The monthly data-verification job now also checks the Navarra foral IRPF scale against the official source. No drift found: the figures already published were correct.

  31. 2026-07-02Data verification

The monthly data-verification job now also checks the Social Security contribution cap and rates against the official source. No drift found: the figures already published were correct.

  32. 2026-07-02Data verification

Corrected the cited source for the grandes almacenes convenio: it pointed to a 2025 act that never states the salary table, when the real 2025 table comes from an earlier act (18 July 2024). The figures don't change, the citation does. All four convenios (contact center, consultoría/TI, grandes almacenes, airport handling) now sit under the same automated drift check the regional scales and the SMI already use.

  33. 2026-07-02New coverage

Added the Canary Islands to the regional deduction for primary-residence rent: 24% of rent paid, capped at 740 EUR a year.

  34. 2026-07-02Calculation fix

Fixed a case where the cap on regional deductions was calculated against the pooled quota instead of the regional quota alone, which could overstate the deduction in the annual settlement.

  35. 2026-07-01New coverage

Added the regional deduction for primary-residence rent, starting with the Comunidad de Madrid, to the annual IRPF settlement.

  36. 2026-07-01Data verification

The monthly data-verification job now also checks the national withholding scale against the official source, not only the regional scales.

  37. 2026-07-01Calculation fix

Added the savings-income base (interest, dividends, capital gains) to the calculator, with its own nationwide savings scale, independent of the region selector.

  38. 2026-07-01Calculation fix

Corrected the Bizkaia (País Vasco) IRPF scale to the actual 2025 tarifa: the previous figure did not match the norma foral in force.

  39. 2026-07-01Calculation fix

Added the full mínimo personal y familiar (age, disability, ascendants and descendants) and the joint-taxation option to the annual settlement.

  40. 2026-06-28New coverage

Extended coverage to all 19 territories: the 15 common-regime comunidades, the foral territories (País Vasco, Navarra) and the autonomous cities (Ceuta, Melilla), each with its own calculation path.

  41. 2026-06-28Calculation fix

Verified the Madrid, Cataluña and Comunitat Valenciana autonomic scales against the AEAT's Manual práctico de Renta: Madrid and Valencia's upper brackets were outdated, and Cataluña had been restructured by Decreto-Ley 5/2025.
