Salary percentile: do you earn more than average?
Enter your annual gross salary and we'll tell you what share of workers of your same sex earn less than you, based on the salary distribution INE publishes.
How this is calculated
INE publishes five points of the annual gross salary distribution (the 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th and 90th percentiles), separately for men and women. Your percentile is estimated by linear interpolation between those points, so it's an approximation, not an exact figure.
- Below the 10th percentile or above the 90th there is no second published point to interpolate against, so the result is shown as "bottom/top 10%" instead of a made-up figure.
- INE doesn't publish this distribution combined for both sexes, or broken down by region: only by sex, at the national level.
