How to read this data
INE groups occupations into three qualification tiers (high, medium, low) based on the professional group of Spain's National Classification of Occupations, and publishes the average gross annual salary for each tier in each Comunidad Autónoma.
- "All occupations" is the overall average; high, medium and low qualification are subgroups with very different salaries from each other, so the overall average may not represent any of the three well.
- This data is averaged by qualification tier, not by profession or city: INE does not publish that finer cross. Ceuta and Melilla are not covered by this INE table.
